M. Marcella Sundberg

M. Marcella (Logan) Sundberg, 93, died peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2023,
surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cheshire, CT to the late Charles and
Mabel (Furey) Logan, she was a former longtime Wilbraham resident. She was a
faithful communicant of St. Cecilia Church for many years.
Marcie was an athlete at heart and an avid gardener, spending much of her time outdoors. She was a professional seamstress, artist, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and a leader in prayer and the charismatic movement. In addition, she put her faith in practice through many hours volunteering, particularly for Birthright Pregnancy Center.
Marcie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Carl B. Sundberg,
in 2015, her brothers, Edward Logan and Charles Logan, nephew Thomas Logan, and nieces Kelly Logan, Jill Sundberg, and Karen Lund. She is survived by four devoted children; Mark Sundberg and his wife Claire, Carol Ouellette, Brian Sundberg and his wife Annette, and Susan Hulbert and her husband Wendel, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, her siblings Elizabeth Nelson of CT and John Logan of CA, and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8th from 4-7PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends
may meet for Marcella’s Funeral Mass on Thursday at 1:00 PM at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Burial in Adams Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Christina’s House ( www.christinashouse.org/donate ).
