Lisa Ann Cronin-Hennessy

July 14, 1966 — February 18, 2024

Lisa Ann Cronin-Hennessy passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the University of Minnesota Hospital after a short illness. Her family was by her side.
Lisa was born July 14, 1966 in Arlington, MA. Her family moved to Hampden in 1973. She graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School in 1984. She then attended Boston College and graduated in 1988 with Bachelor of Arts-Communications.
While in school she worked for New England Sports Network in Boston as Assistant to the Director of Advertising and Public Relations. After graduation she was promoted to Production Assistant. She later worked a short time for Maverick Media in Boston as Assistant to the Senior Producer, where she participated in research, writing, press releases and formulating budgets. She was also involved with actual shooting and post-production editing.
Lisa married in 1992 and moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where her first child Kira was born. The family moved to Ithaca, NY where her second child Karly was born. She worked as an assistant in a Montessori School and decided she wanted to become a Montessori teacher. She enrolled in Montessori Teacher Education training.
Her family then moved to St. Paul, MN. In 2015 she got her Montessori teaching certification. She worked for a while at a Montessori school, but then decided she would like to open her own school. She opened Riversong Montessori Pre-School in Minnesota in 2016. She taught 3 ½ to 6 year olds and loved them all. A few of her special events and projects were the children’s Mother’s Day Tea, Father’s Day get together where the fathers and children made bird feeders and making gingerbread houses with the children at Christmas. She was adored by her students and was loved and respected by their parents. She will be missed by them all.
Lisa loved music, bicycling, gardening and was an avid Trekkie. She was a fan of old science fiction movies. She also loved baking and was known for her delicious pies.
She leaves her husband of 31 years, Daniel Cronin-Hennessy; two beautiful and talented daughters, Kira and Karly; her parents, Michael Cronin and Elizabeth Zuppe; her sister Lianne O’Connor; and her two cats, Artemis and Frisky.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8th from 4-7PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Lisa’s Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 9th at11 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 27 Somers Rd., Hampden. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
