Obituary
Leon Arslanian, 94, died peacefully on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at Baystate Wing Hospital. He was born in Fitchburg to the late Garabed and Satinig Arslanian on September 3, 1926. Leon enlisted in the Army and served his country proudly during WWII in the Philippines and Japan. After the Service, he returned to Springfield and married the former Helen Griffin and had two children. Leon was predeceased by his wife Helen. In 1992 he married Jean Moffatt and they enjoyed 28 years together travelling in Europe and vacationing in Las Vegas. Leon is survived by his wife Jean, two children; Daniel and Joanne Arslanian, three step-children; James Moffatt, III, Barbara Fortin and Janet Michelakis, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Leon’s Funeral Services will be held privately for the family. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
