Kristen Marie Melbourne

November 28, 1978 — May 31, 2025

Kristen Marie Melbourne, 46, a beloved figure of East Longmeadow, sadly left our world on Saturday, May 31, 2025 surrounded by her devoted family. Kristen has been a lifelong resident of East Longmeadow, and a graduate of East Longmeadow High School class of 1997. Kristen was affectionately known and was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. Kristen was an avid reader, as well as being a gifted softball player for the Special Olympics, where she participated as a unified player with family for over 25 years. Her love for concerts, bonfires, walking the beach and fishing are a true testament to her life’s passions. A longtime member of the Elks Lodge #61, she worked many years for Prospect Builders fire and flood restoration, where her coworkers easily became another family to her. Kristen also worked as a dedicated bus driver for many years at LPVEC, touching the lives of those in her community with her kindness and steady presence, which in turn had the children on her route adoring her. After a brave battle with cancer, she met each day with strength, humor, and a deep love for those who surrounded her.
Kristen leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Timothy Evans of East Longmeadow, her father Paul Melbourne of Monson, her mother Doreen Angelucci and her husband Kurt of East Longmeadow brothers; Brandon Melbourne of Feeding Hills, Joseph Angelucci and wife Jamie of Stafford Springs, CT, sisters; Kimberly Melbourne of Wilbraham, Lindsay Baldwin and her husband Justin of Simsbury, CT, cherished nieces and nephews, Junior, Izabella, Madilyn, Juliana, Courtney and Maverick. She also leaves behind her loving family of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She is also survived by her beloved friend and confidant, Jessica Thomas and her daughter Leah Nadle, whose support and companionship meant the world to her.
Kristen easily fell into the hearts of many and collected some truly wonderful friendships during her lifetime, ones that will treasure her memory forever. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, barefoot, one with nature and always willing to help.
