Chicopee

Kerry E. (Amsden) Berselli, 49, passed away peacefully in her mother’s arms on Saturday, December 20, 2025, surrounded by love.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, Kerry grew up in Hampden and graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School, Class of 1994. She built a life rooted in family, laughter, and caring deeply for others.

Kerry spent many years working as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. She took pride in her work and was known for her friendly smile, strong work ethic, and willingness to help anyone who needed it—whether on her route or in her personal life.

Above all else, Kerry loved her family. She found joy in cooking meals that brought everyone together, tending to her garden, and making her home a place where people felt welcome. Kerry had a way of making everyday moments special simply by being present.

She was predeceased by her father, David M. Amsden, on September 25, 2025, a loss that deeply affected her.

Kerry leaves behind her beloved mother, Martha (Cantalini) Amsden of Springfield; her brother, DJ Amsden; and her sister, Jennifer Courtney, all of whom she loved fiercely.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her maternal grandmother, Edie Roland of Nahant; her aunts and uncles, Betty, Barbara, Patty, John and Christina Cantalini, Rick and Cindy Amsden, Wendy and the late Steven Amsden, and Cathy, her nephews, Alex and Tripp; and her niece, Haileigh, who brought her so much happiness.

Kerry was a favorite “Auntie” to her nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially during the family’s treasured Hammonasset camping vacations. She was the one who brought the laughter, the fun, and the memories that will be talked about for years to come.

Lastly, Kerry leaves behind her loving partner, Tom Hughes of Chicopee, with whom she shared a life full of love, companionship, and countless warm and joyful moments. Their bond was deep, and Kerry’s love will remain with Tom always.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilbraham Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kerry’s memory to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, 25 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01020.
