Obituary
Longtime Wilbraham resident Kenneth F. Slowik, 81, died peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2022. Born in Springfield to the late Frank and Mary (Stadnicki) Slowik, he worked in the Advertising Dept. at Springfield Newspapers for 50 years until his retirement in 2006. A devoted communicant and usher at St. Cecilia’s Church, Ken enjoyed playing tennis, golf and skiing and loved to watch girls’ basketball at Minnechaug. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Linda (Chamberlain) Slowik. Family and friends may meet for Ken’s Funeral Mass on Monday, October 3rd at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Dell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham, MA 01095 or to the Wilbraham Senior Center, 45 Post Office Park, Wilbraham, MA 01095 or to the Wilbraham Public Library, 25 Crane Park Dr., Wilbraham, MA 01095.
