Obituary
Kathleen M. (Richards) Phipps, 76, died peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at home. She was born in Beverly, MA to the late Ernest and Adeline (Peters) Richards. She worked in production for Sylvania of Salem, MA and Western PA for many years. She was a longtime member of the Wilbraham Democratic Town Committee and Red Hat Society. Kathy was an active member of the Wilbraham Senior Center and was past president of the Friends of Wilbraham Seniors. A faithful communicant of St. Cecilia’s Church, she also enjoyed playing Mahjong. She is survived by her wife Adele Paulin of Wilbraham, her two sons: Michael Phipps and his wife Keri of Kensington, NH and Robert Phipps of Gloucester, MA, brother Ernest A. Richards, Jr. of Raymond, NH, three grandchildren: Lillian, Ryan and Leah, her Aunt Ida Peters of Beverly, MA, several cousins and one nephew Matthew Richard. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 – 7 PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Kathy’s Memorial Mass on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Wilbraham Seniors, 45 Post Office Park #4502, Wilbraham, MA 01095 or to Sister Caritas Cancer Center, 271 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
