Katherine V. Pychewicz, 86, passed away peacefully at home on October 11th. Daughter of John and Eva (Canor) Sullivan, Kathy grew up in Agawam. She married her husband of 54 years, Francis Pychewicz, who predeceased her in 2018 and they lived in Wilbraham. Kathy and Frank both had lifelong employment at Monsanto’s Bircham Bend plant in Indian Orchard where Kathy, as Executive Secretary, was trusted to plan many of the company’s largest events. A passionate gardener, Kathy also loved children, the outdoors, walks with neighborhood friends, hosting holidays, vacation travels and her cherished black poodle Peppi. Kathy was a devout Catholic Christian, active in the Charismatic Movement, who taught catechism and spent countless hours in chapel praying before the Blessed Sacrament in Adoration of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ. She leaves her sisters Sandra Labarre and Christine Sullivan, her nephews and nieces John, Lisa, Christine, Danny, Jerry, Kathy and their children, all of whom she loved so well. The family is grateful for devoted caregivers Chris, Christie, Manahia, Jessica, Donna and Pam. Calling hours will be at Wilbraham Funeral home at 2551 Boston Rd, Wilbraham, on Thursday November 20th from 9 to 10:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Cecilia Church, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham at 11.
