Obituary
Judith M. (Lunden) Jones, 80, died peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Springfield to the late Walter and Violet (Matchett) Lunden, she was a longtime Hampden resident. She was employed at Poplar Markets and Chapman Valve in accounting. She was an artist, specializing in watercolors and pastels. A faithful member of Hampden Federated Church, she was also a member of the Scantic Valley Art Club and attended art classes at the Somers Senior Center. Judith is survived by her husband Albert F. Jones, two sons: Steven A. Jones of Hampden and Jeffrey W. Jones and his wife Muriel of Stow, MA, grandchildren: Lea Jones and Jacob Rourke and cousin Beverly Bowman. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 25th at 11:00 AM in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Hampden. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Federated Community Church of Hampden, 590 Main St., Hampden, MA 01036.
