Obituary
Judith P. Parker, 81, died peacefully on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield to the late Roger and Jeanne (Pomalaski) Johnson, she worked as a customer service representative for Walgreens, retiring in April of 2020, after 26 years of service.
Judy was predeceased by her beloved husband Gene Parker this past April as well as her brother Roger Johnson and sister Sally Roberts.. She will be deeply missed by their five devoted children; Tracey Martineau and her husband Gary of West Springfield, Lee Ann Gaston and her husband Dennis of South Carolina, Keith Parker and his wife Patti of Pittsfield, Melynda Peloquin and her husband Jon of East Longmeadow and Kyle Parker and Monique Parker of Florida, 12 cherished grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren - Jessica (Michael, Kaden, Jack & Luca) Meaney, Jarod Andrews, Megan (Brett, Eleanor) Martineau, Brett (Kaylee, Brody, Quinn & Owen) Parker, Ian (Kate) Peloquin, Rebecca Parker, Jack Parker, Ty Peloquin, Adam Parker, Kacy (Alex, Brady, Bella & Gabriel) Parker-Jordan, Sam Gaston and Devin Gaston, as well as her many nieces and nephews. –
Judy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed word searches, reading, bird watching and vacationing at the Cape and in Maine.
The family would like to thank the M7 nurses and team, especially Nurses David and Matt and PCT Melyssa, as well as the hospice nurses at Baystate Medical Center.
Judith’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 8th at 1:00 PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may greet the family prior to the Service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Judith’s Committal Service will be held on Monday, January 10th at 9:00 AM at MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Masks are required to attend all services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 or the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
