Judith M. (Buckley) Speight

Judith M. Speight 1944 - 2017 East Longmeadow Judith May (Buckley) Speight, age 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center. Born in Springfield to the late Edward and Edith (Pera) Buckley, she was a longtime East Longmeadow resident. Judy earned her Bachelor�s Degree from American International College and was a favorite third and fourth grade teacher for the Town of East Longmeadow for twelve years at Mapleshade School. She was a faithful communicant of St. Michael�s Church in East Longmeadow. Judy will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 45 years, Edward T. Speight of East Longmeadow, her three sons; Thomas B. Speight of Palmer, Michael E. Speight of East Longmeadow and John F. Speight and his wife Valerie of Glendale, AZ, two brothers; Edward J. Buckley of East Longmeadow and James M. Buckley of Wilbraham and his wife Belinda, sister Dorothy Simonds of Hampden and her husband Francis, nieces Sarah and Rachael, and her Aunt Constance Ford of Somers, CT. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 � 7:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Judy�s Liturgy of Christian Burial on Friday at 10AM at St. Michael�s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy�s name may be made to the charity of one�s choice.
