IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Josephine A.
Raimer
January 9, 1934 – March 7, 2026
Josephine A. (Chicketti) Raimer, 92, died peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Vantage of Hampden. Born in Chicopee, she was daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Janusz) Chicketti.
She was a graduate of Commerce High School, Springfield and later in life went on to pursue an Art History degree at Bay Path College in Longmeadow. Utilizing her talents, she loved to add her creative touches to her work at Kitchens by Herzenberg, as well as her own business, Interior Designs - A Concept in Change.
Whether vacationing on the beach in Newport with family, spending time at numerous family gatherings with her much requested potato salad in hand, jumping on the back of a quad through the woods of Florida, or traveling to Italy many times, she was always up for an adventure any day, any time. Sharing endless tales and traditions of her Italian upbringing, often over rolled provolone, milk crackers, a glass of red wine, and Sunday dinners, were very much a part of her life.
Josephine will be sadly missed by her four devoted children; Michael Raimer (Susan) of Hampden, James Raimer (Joan) of Florida, Laurie Magnani (Marc) and Barbara Spear (Edward) of East Longmeadow, brother Michael Chicketti of Holyoke, sister Diane Quaglini of West Springfield, 13 cherished grandchildren and 11 adored great grandchildren. Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Francis Raimer.
Special thanks to companion, Ron Stirlacci, the caring staff of Vantage Health and Rehab of Hampden, and Hospice of Western Massachusetts.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th from 4-7pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Josephine’s Funeral will be Saturday, March 14th at 9am from Wilbraham Funeral Home to a Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham.
