Daigneault
April 28, 1930 – February 18, 2026
Josephine (Megliola) Daigneault, 95, passed away on February 18th at Lifecare Center of Wilbraham. Josephine was born in Springfield, MA on April 28, 1930 to the late Louis and Elizabeth (Pierro) Megliola. She was the 7th child of 11 and was predeceased by her brothers; Ralph, Michael, Robert and Leonard Megliola and sisters Antionette (Toni) Erwin, Mary DelNegro and Adelina ( Lena) Linberg, as well as her beloved son Paul Daigneault (2018) and her beloved husband Rolland Daigneault (2022).
Josephine worked for the phone company until she met the love of her life and married her husband, Rolland in 1954. Jo and Rolland were not ones to sit around. They were very active. In addition to dancing, cross country skiing and hiking, Jo and Rolland rode their bicycles cross country. Josephine also worked at Western New England College in the law library in the 1970's. She hosted legendary lasagna parties for her colleagues at her home. Jo was a great cook. Sunday dinners were filled with love and laughter.
Josephine is sorely missed by her daughters Linda Daigneault of Wilbraham and Karen Daigneault and partner Michael Avdoulos of Springfield, daughter-in-law Ann Daigneault of Marshfield, her sisters Philomena Novitt of Longmeadow and Ellen Rose of Granby and her brother Louis Megliola and his wife Pat of Chicago, 5 grandchildren; Laura Dumas of East Hampton , CT, Bradley Rolland and Krystal Tuck of Wilbraham, Mark Daigneault and wife Jen of Quincy, John Daigneault and wife Hannah of Holliston and Nathan Daigneault of Marshfield as well as 7 great grandchildren; Jonathan, Emily, Rhylen, Jonah, Jamie, Marley and Rowan. She was blessed with many nieces and nephews and was particularly close to the Pomerantz family; Beth, Steve and daughter Hannah.
Josephine was well liked by all who met her and always described as a kind soul that made all feel welcome. Josephine will be remembered for her kind heart, love of family, sense of humor and unwavering kindness and love.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 5th from 11:30AM to 12:30PM, concluding with a Prayer Service at 12:30PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Josephine’s Committal Service will follow at 2:00PM at MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
