Joseph Thomas McGranaghan, 84, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manchester, NH to the late Thomas and Mary (Palmer) McGranaghan, he lived most of his life in Wilbraham. He grew up in Manchester, NH and Worcester, MA where he attended Classical High School. He earned his Bachelor�s Degree in Mathematics from Fordham University and a Master�s Degree from Western New England University. He served honorably in the U.S. Army�s 11th Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Colorado Fuel & Iron (CF&I) and for over thirty years by Springfield Wire, Inc. where he served as President, CEO and ultimately Chairman of the Board. He was a longtime communicant of St. Cecilia�s Church in Wilbraham and a member of their Men�s Club. He is survived by his devoted wife of fifty seven years Patricia (Ferry) McGranaghan of Wilbraham, his son Joseph T. McGranaghan, Jr. of Conway, MA, three daughters; Patricia Murphy and her husband John of Wilbraham, Ann Bernardi and her husband Joseph of Glastonbury, CT and Kathleen McGranaghan and her husband Dennis Wallace of Montpelier, VT, and ten cherished grandchildren; Ali, Brendan, Declan, Justin, Benjamin, Hugh, Patrick, Michael, Emmett and Robert. He was predeceased by his siblings; Catherine Wade, William McGranaghan, Theresa Barrell, Robert McGranaghan, as well Thomas �Buddy� McGranaghan and Mary McGranaghan. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 19th from 4:00 � 7:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Funeral will be Monday at 9:00 am from Wilbraham Funeral Home followed by a Mass at 10:00 am in St. Cecilia�s Church, 42 Main St. Wilbraham. Burial will follow in Woodland Dell Cemetery.
