Joseph Daniel Daly

Joseph D. Daly, 84, of Grayson Dr., Springfield, MA, formerly of Longmeadow, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center. Joseph was born in Springfield, graduated from Cathedral High School in 1950 and achieved an MS Degree in Education from AIC. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean conflict. Joseph was a dedicated educator for the Springfield Public School system his entire career. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Jeannette (Cantwell) Daly, his sister Mary Eileen Morris of Harwich and his 5 children and their families, Kathleen Leo and her husband David of Wilbraham, Thomas Daly and his wife Krista of Westfield, Ellen Wickham and her husband Mel of Westfield, Mary Jo Pierce and her husband Dean of Feeding Hills, and Jennifer Spirito of Feeding Hills. Also survived by his 5 loving grandchildren; Zachary Leo, Colin Daly, Nicholas Spirito, Kaitlynn Leo and Ryan Daly. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Danielle Marie Leo. Calling Hours are Friday, April 28th, 2017 from 4-7pm at the Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Funeral will be Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 8:30am at the funeral home with Liturgy of Burial at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St, Springfield. Burial will be at 2pm on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 at the Veterans Cemetery in Agawam.
