John J. Shea

John J. Shea Jr. of Woburn, formerly of Wilbraham, died March 30th at the age of eighty-four. Beloved husband of the late Ann M. (Rice) Shea. Devoted father of the late Peter Shea, his wife Donna Johnson, her husband Kurt of Milford, Lisa Barnes, her husband Paul of Wareham, John “Jack” Shea, his wife Laura of Wilbraham, and father-in-law of the late Julie Shea. Loving Companion of Patricia “Pat” Kane, of Woburn. Adored grandfather of David Garreffa of Monson, John Shea of Dorchester, Brian Shea of Somerville, and Jenna Rawlings of Somerville. Dear brother of the late Ann Farrell. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, April 12th from 4-7 p.m., at the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home 263 Main St. Woburn. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 14th from 9 – 10:30 a.m. at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. John’s Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St, Wilbraham, MA. Burial and rites of committal will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Road, Springfield. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in John’s memory to the Bridgewater State College Foundation, Peter J. Shea Memorial Scholarship Fund, Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, MA 02325.
