Obituary
John “Jack” Seyler, 86, died peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Baystate Wing Hospital. Born in Springfield to the late John and Alice (Tucker) Seyler, he served his country proudly as a Navy pilot. He attended the University of VT and was a graduate of American International College. He retired from Bates Fullam Insurance Agency in West Springfield, where he was an insurance agent for many years. Jack was a longtime East Longmeadow resident before moving to Wilbraham in 2006. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Springfield, active in many community organizations and a proud friend of Bill. Jack will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Sally (Cosman) Seyler, their children: Cynthia Nasman and her husband Richard of Lenox, MA, Jay Seyler and his wife Tami of East Longmeadow and Jeffrey Seyler and his wife Abney of Wilbraham, seven cherished grandchildren: Kyle, Benjamin, Jeremy, Zachary, William, Charly and Cally and several nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his two sisters, Sarah Hamilton and Suzanne Collins. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1st from 4-6 PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Jack’s Funeral Service on Monday, March 2nd at 10 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assn., 393 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01105.
