John Kendall Logan Jr., 79, of Wilbraham, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, ME. Jack was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on April 14, 1944, son of the late John and Virginia (Wayne) Logan. A graduate of Bartlett High (’62) and member of MOHAWK Club at Fitchburg State College (’66), he went on to earn his M.Ed. through Springfield College and faithfully serve the Wilbraham-Hampden community as a teacher, vice-principal, and principal for nearly 40 years. Jack was a Past Master of Brigham Lodge of Masons AF & AM, and a member of the Highlanders Unit of the Melha Shriners. In 1989 he was born again through faith in Christ Jesus and found great peace through the unconditional love of God. Throughout the years Jack enjoyed canoeing, woodworking, bagpiping, and hunting; and in retirement traveled numerous times to Kimberley, South Africa. Jack will be dearly missed by his wife of 35 years, Charlotte (Merton); two children; daughter, Christine Lightner (Jonathan) of Garden City, KS, and son, John Logan (Millicent) of Springfield, MA; three grandchildren, Emma and Lauren Lightner, and Kendall Logan; and two brothers, Wayne Logan and Harold Logan (Crystal). A Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 20 at 11am in Adams Cemetery, Wilbraham. Wilbraham Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s memory to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
