John R. LeBlanc, 89, passed away Saturday at Mercy Hospital. Born in Montreal, Canada, February 7, 1927, he was the son of the late Ubald and Alice (Leclerc) LeBlanc. John was a graduate of Boston College and received his Masters Degree from Ohio State University. He worked as a research chemist for Monsanto for 35 years retiring in 1982 and later as a consultant for Springborne Labs in CT. John was a communicant of St Cecilia�s Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister. He was also a Eucharistic Minister at Mercy Hospital. John was a proud US Navy veteran during WWII. He spent many winters in Florida with his loving wife of 67 years, Dorothy (Sweeney) LeBlanc. Besides his wife he leaves his beloved children, John R. of Palm Beach Gardens,FL., Paul E. of Selkirk, NY., Suzanne M. Head of Milwaukee, WI Stephen D. of Kingwood, TX., James A. of Crown Point, IN., and Michele A. Delaney of Mattapoisett, MA., his beloved sister, Helen Pursley of Palm Beach Gardens, FL., his 14 loving grandchildren and 7 beloved great grandchildren. John�s son Lawrence J. LeBlanc passed away in 1995 and his sister, Sr. Alice Therese passed away in 1973. The funeral will be held Wednesday 10am from the Wilbraham Funeral Home 2551 Boston Rd Wilbraham followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am from St Cecilia�s Church with burial to follow in Woodland Dell Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7. Donations may be made to a charity of one�s choice.
