Joanne Mary (Pearce) Gaudio

Joanne (Pearce) Gaudio, 73, died peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at home with her loving family by her side. Born in White Plains, NY, to the late Ned and Mary (Hoffman) Pearce, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester, Master of Social Work degree from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Wyoming. She lived in West Des Moines, IA, Winston-Salem, NC and Laramie, WY before moving to Wilbraham 16 years ago. An avid reader, Joanne also spent her time nurturing her artistic talents in quilting and knitting. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Arthur Gaudio, three children: Marianne Spencer of Indianapolis, IN, Michael Gaudio and his wife Kerry Morgan of St. Paul, MN and Arthur R. Gaudio and his wife Jenny of Sollentuna, Sweden, a brother Ned Pearce and his wife Christine of Port Chester, NY and five cherished grandchildren: Pearce Spencer and Anna, Adam, Tessa and Felix Gaudio. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Joanne�s Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12:00 Noon at St. Cecilia�s Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
