Joanne Theresa Broderick

Joanne Theresa Broderick passed away peacefully on June 19, 2023 at Georgetown Hospital in Washington, DC. Born in Springfield to the late William and Anne (Sullivan) Broderick, "Jo” grew up in East Longmeadow and graduated second in her class, among 1000 students, from Cathedral High School in Springfield MA. She attended Mount Holyoke College and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. She went on to become a senior executive at both the Department of Justice and the Department of Defense in Washington, DC.
Jo was a dog adopter and had 6 in her adult life. She will be dearly missed by her two younger brothers; Timothy J. Broderick of West Hartford, CT and Michael Broderick of East Longmeadow, MA. Joanne will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, East Longmeadow. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
