Obituary
Joanne R. AnelloMaher, 69, passed away on May 21, 2021. Born and raised in Montclair, NJ to the late Charles and Jean Anello, she lived in the states of Maryland, Illinois, and New Jersey before settling in Wilbraham, MA 22 years ago. After graduating from Montclair State University, she attended URI, where she obtained her Masters Degree in Early Child Development. While she held many professional titles, her true love was in teaching where she spent the last 10 years educating high school students prior to retiring. Joanne loved nothing more than to impart her wisdom to others and, was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. She was an avid reader, who spent her free time cooking in the kitchen or making memories with her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Bill and daughter Alicia and loved playing with her pets.
Joanne is survived by her daughter Alicia Maher and is predeceased by her husband Bill of 37 years and her brother Charles Anello. She also leaves her sister Carmel Sullivan and brothers Guy and Louis Anello. She will be missed by her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and good friends.
