Obituary
Joan A. (Morton) Noonan, 80, died peacefully on September 3, 2020, at her home where she had lived almost her entire life. Born in Springfield to the late Harold “Steve” and Hazel “Peg” (Gowing) Morton, she was a lifelong East Longmeadow resident. Joan graduated from American International College and Brigham and Women’s Hospital School of Nursing, Boston. She worked for several decades as a Registered Nurse for local Visiting Nurse companies. She also volunteered for Baystate VNA and many local charities. She was President of the Board of Directors of Norcross House in East Longmeadow. Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward T. Noonan in 2015. Joan and Edward will be interred together in a Private Ceremony due the pandemic at Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 330 Whitney Ave., Suite 420, Holyoke, MA 01040 or Norcross House, 89 Maple St., East Longmeadow, MA 01028.
