Obituary
Joan C. (Lauck) McMann, 84, passed away Friday January 17, 2020 at Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer. Born in Hicksville, Long Island NY, August 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Sophie (Rueger) Lauck. Joan received her nursing degree in Brooklyn, NY and worked as a registered nurse for over 35 years at the former Mary Lyons Nursing Home in Hampden. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Hampden where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Friendship Club and often crocheted items for the needy. Her beloved husband, James McMann died in 2010. She leaves her loving children, Patrick and his wife Joyce of E. Longmeadow, Deborah Skipton and her husband David of Wilbraham, Victoria Dubois and her husband John of Ludlow, and Julianna Frodema and her husband Dennis of Hampden, her beloved 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11am from St. Mary’s Church in Hampden with a private burial in the spring. The Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham is in charge of arrangements.
