Jeannette R. (Laro) Christenson

Jeannette R. (Laro) Christenson, 95, beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away Tuesday December 27, 2016 at Wingate of East Longmeadow. She was born in Salem, January 27, 1921, to the late Frank and Alice (Denault) Laro. Jeannette loved to travel, bowl, play bingo and spend time with family. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Helen Balsewicz, grandson, Timothy Dougherty and her brothers, Eli and Joseph Laro. She is survived by her son, Ely Christenson and his wife Rena of East Longmeadow, her sister, Martha Hess of East Longmeadow. She will be missed by her many grandchildren, Ron and Jason Christenson, Scott Benson, Richard Barrows III, Jeffrey Barrows, Michael Dougherty, Laura Lee and David Balsewicz, as well as 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Home Service will be held Wednesday January 4, 2017 at 11am at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
