Obituary
Jeanne C. (Zuccala) Peterson, 88, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. She was born in Chicopee to the late Ovide and Marie (LaFleche) Carmel. Jeanne loved birdwatching in her yard, going to the casino and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her five children: James Zuccala, John Zuccala (Tammy), Patricia Davis (Dennis), Laura Povanda and Joseph Zuccala, two step-children: Richard Peterson, Jr. and Beth Peterson, siblings: Francis Carmel and Claire Redin, six grandchildren: Matthew, Christopher, Garrett, Marissa, Jon and Nick, one great grandson Logan and many nieces and nephews. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Joseph Zuccala in 1974 and Richard Peterson in 2017. She was also predeceased by brothers: Richard and John Carmel, and her sister Sylvia Redin. Jeanne’s Funeral and Graveside Service will be private. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 or to Dakin Humane Society, PO Box 6307. Springfield, MA 01101-6307.
