James Richard Valentine

James R. �Tino� Valentine, 86, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham, surrounded by his family. Born in Springfield, he was the son of the late Gabriel and Rose (Ghiandoni) Valentine. Tino owned and operated Valentine Auto Body in the Hungry Hill section of Springfield for many years. He was a well-known Corvette specialist and proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his beloved wife Pola Marie (Thompson) Valentine, his daughter Judith �Judy Bug� Valentine and her partner Jennifer Vorro of E. Providence, RI, one brother Walter Valentine and several nieces and nephews including Erin Dowding, Paige Barbieri and Christopher Hill. He was predeceased by his brother Leo and sister Elizabeth Hill. A Prayer Service will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Visitation will follow the Service until 4:00 pm. Burial with Military Honors will be on Wednesday, March 15th at 2:00 pm at MA Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wilbraham Senior Center, 45 Post Office Park, #4502, Wilbraham, MA 01095.
