James Mitchell Slade born November 18, 1929, Far Hills, New Jersey, passed away on October 15, 2014. Pre-deceased by his parents James Mitchell Slade of Rochester, NY and Lillian McAuley, Lower Millstream, Canada and his sister Geraldine Davis.�He is survived by his wife, Patricia Knoth Slade, Sons: James A. Slade and companion Helen Salter; Jeffrey S. Slade and companion Alicia Paquette; Brother: James R. Slade ( Elizabeth); Judy Lombard; Robert (Kim) Slade; William Slade; Brother in Law, Ronald Knoth; Nieces: Elizabeth (Edward) Immerman; Audrey (Joseph) Muratore; Nephew: Edward (Lisa) Knoth; Curt Knoth; Granddaughters: Jennifer Hammond ; Tara Keeling and Andrea DeBlanc; "Special Granddaughter" Sarah Crouser; Great-Grandson: Donald Hammond; Great-granddaughter: Jacquelyn De Blanc. Mr. Slade served in the U.S. Navy on micro-seismic research projects with Admiral Marion Gilmore. He was Vice President and General Manager of the TechAlloy Corporation in Mahwah, NJ. He was an avid hunter and fisherman along with both of his sons. He was a past Commander of the American Legion in Irvington, NJ. He was a member of the Brigham Masonic Lodge and Springfield Sportsman's Club. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th from 4:00 � 7:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 9:00 am at Wilbraham Funeral Home followed by burial with Military Honors at 11:00 am at MA Veterans� Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
