Obituary
James D. Mendenhall, 80, passed away Friday July 6, 2018 at Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Washington, NC, October 19, 1937, he was the son of the late Spencer and Daisy (Cowan) Mendenhall. Jim was a truck driver for over 30 years for Spector Freight and Consolidated Freight. He was a member of the Chicopee Moose Lodge and the Teamsters 404. He leaves his loving wife, Lucy (Dyer) Mendenhall, his beloved sons, James L. of Springfield, Paul of Indian Orchard, Kevin A. of Indian Orchard, Steven of Oklahoma City, OK and Daniel J. of Ludlow, his sister, Lorraine Beck of Wilbraham and his 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Jim was predeceased by his daughter Sheila who passed away in 2015. Calling hours will be held Wednesday 4-6 from the Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
