Obituary
Ina (Nelson) Bremner, 99, died peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2020 at home at Orchard Valley in Wilbraham. Born in Chicopee Falls to the late Karl and Frieda (Carlson) Nelson, she was a 1938 graduate of Commerce High School. A former long time East Longmeadow resident, she was a Realtor for East Longmeadow Realty. A past president of the Women’s Community Club in East Longmeadow, she was also active in EL Community Theater, the EL Garden Club and the Republican Town Committee. Ina was a member of the First Congregational Church of East Longmeadow and was active in the Eastern States Farmers’ Exchange from 1938 through 1943. Ina was predeceased by her beloved husband of 76 years Donald Bremner on February 2, 2020. She is survived by her son Donald Bremner of AZ and daughter Christine Ryan and her husband Dennis of Palmer, grandchildren Kate Ryan Lynch and Derek Ryan, great grandchildren Kendall and Charlotte Lynch and Lukas and Jakob Ryan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 12 Noon at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Longmeadow Lions Clubs, 25 Greenacre Lane, East Longmeadow, MA 01028.
