Hilda Elizabeth (Gibson) Forsyth, 100, died on March 14, 2015 at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, CT. Born in Joggins Nova Scotia, Canada, on February 20, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alice (Hill) Gibson. She moved to Pennsylvania at age 11 and then to the Hungry Hill section of Springfield where she married and raised a family. She was the loving widow of Frank Forsyth, beloved mother of Elaine Wettemann of Killingworth, CT and Bruce Forsyth and his wife Patricia of Hollywood, FL, devoted grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 16. She was predeceased by her sister, who was her hero, Violet Wilbur, her granddaughter Jennifer Forsyth, and her great granddaughter Isabella Rose Barba. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 23 from 10am to 12 noon at the WILBRAHAM FUNERAL HOME, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Hilda was a kind, loving, and honorable woman her entire life and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
