Obituary
Harry Lee Goodrich, 79, of Wilbraham, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 27, 2020 surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with pleural mesothelioma. Born in Springfield and raised in Hampden, Harry was the son of the late William and Winifred (Burt) Goodrich. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy on board the USS Corry.  Harry worked for Hamilton Standard where in 1983 NASA awarded him the Silver Snoopy Award for outstanding achievement to flight safety and mission success. After retirement, he worked for HWRSD as lead custodian. Harry was a member of the Wilbraham Newton Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Melha Shriners (Highlanders unit). Harry was a member of Grace Union Church in Wilbraham. He took great pride in his ‘51 Chevy “Queenie” and enjoyed attending car shows and seasonal camping. Harry is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Agnes (Gore) Goodrich, his daughters Cynthia Corey [Paul] of Springfield, and Kathleen Lee [Jesse] of Hampden. He was the cherished “Pa” to Adam and Emma Corey and Erin and Sean Lee. He was the caring brother to Barry Goodrich, Ann Beroth, and Sandra Lavoie. He was predeceased by his sister, Gail Goodrich. Family and Friends are invited to a graveside service for Harry on Wednesday July 1, 2020 at 11AM at Glendale Cemetery in Wilbraham.
