Gladys B. Green

Gladys (Boniwicz) Green, 95, died peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Orchard Valley of Wilbraham. She was born in Springfield to the late Maryan and Helen (Marchinek) Boniwicz and was a graduate of High School of Commerce, Springfield. A pioneer in her field, she was a respected Interior Designer in the Greater Springfield area for more than 50 years. She owned and operated Gladys B. Green Interiors until her retirement. A passionate gardener, she took pride in her terraced gardens, rose bushes and Rubrum lilies. Above all, Gladys enjoyed spending time with family. In addition to her parents, Gladys was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years Richard "Dick" Green, their son Richard J. Green, her sister Violet B. Biskup and her husband Teddy J. Biskup. She is survived by her three devoted children; Allison B. Green of Cherry Hill, NJ, Stephen M. Green and his wife Elaine of Syracuse, NY and Lori Callahan and her husband David of Wilbraham, nine cherished grandchildren; Natalie, Harry, Charlie and Christian Green, Jack, Lilly and Bridget Callahan and Grace (Bailley) and Garrett Barnard, great granddaughter Logan and her dear nephew and nieces; William Biskup (Tony Adelman), Kathy and Robin Biskup. Family and friends may gather for Gladys's Funeral Mass on Monday, February 27th at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family would like to thank the kind and thoughtful staff at Orchard Valley of Wilbraham for their compassionate care.
