Gary A. Lambert

Gary Adrian Lambert, Sr. passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025 after battling several years of illness. Born August 12, 1944 in Ludlow, MA, he was son of the late Romeo and Elizabeth Lambert of Springfield. He was a 1962 graduate of Granby Memorial High School in Granby, CT. Gary started a technical career as a machinist and mechanic prior to starting his own contracting business, painting and home remodeling. Later in life, he became a realtor working with Landmark Realty until he retired in 2012. An avid sportsman and outdoorsman, Gary loved boating, fishing, fly fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a prolific bow hunter and was a former president of Springfield Sportsman’s Club in Monson, a proud member of the MA Bare Bow Association and was a Competitive Archer in Northeast US. A Master Mason for 49 years, he was a member of the Brigham Lodge in Ludlow. Gary lived life to the fullest and always had time for his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by his brothers Robert Lambert and Romeo “Buddy” Lambert and his son in law Ronald Michael, Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Laura (Mastroianni) Lambert, their children; Gary A Lambert, Jr and his wife Maureen of Easton, MA and Lisa Michael of Barrington, RI, grandchildren; Nathan Michael and wife Ryann of Barrington, RI, Matthew Michael and fiancé Callie Nee of Dedham, MA, Theresa Ray and her husband Partha of Sherborn, MA, Daniel Lambert and wife Allena of Austin, TX, Brian Lambert and girlfriend Sarah Battapaglia of New York, NY, cherished great grandchild Sebastian Ronald Michael as well as his sister Gloria Moquin of Granby, CT. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28 from 12-2PM, concluding with a Funeral Service at 2PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brigham Masonic Lodge, 59 Winsor St., Ludlow, MA 01056 or to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK73123-1718.
