Frank W. Spelko, 73, died peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2023, at home with his family by his side. A lifelong Palmer resident, Frank was born in Palmer to the late John and Rose (Christman) Spelko. He served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Frank was an independent logger and retired as a Park Ranger from the Department of Conservation & Recreation. A true outdoorsman, Frank enjoyed and appreciated nature in all it’s forms. He loved hiking, gardening and animals, feeling most at home outside. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years Lorraine (Brodeur) Spelko, brother John Spelko, Jr. and his wife Linda of Monson, four nieces; Maya (Kelly) Andrews, Erica (Chris) Simister, Jennifer (Joe) Bolduc and Tiffany Spelko and great nieces and nephews; Ethan, Caleb, Isaac and Eliza. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21 from 2-4PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:30PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or consider planting a tree in memory of Frank.
