Francis “Frank” Perenick, 97, passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in North Adams to the late Salvatore and Rosalie (Mancuso) Perenick. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Marlboro College and enjoyed careers in social work, education and sales. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II.
Frank was a man of immense compassion, patience and integrity. Grounded in love, he treated everyone with respect and kindness. He was loved by his family and everyone that knew him. Highly imaginative and creative, he enjoyed inventing various products to simplify daily tasks. He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, quick wit and endless love.
Francis leaves six devoted children to cherish his memory; Donna (Tom) Trites, Debra Cotela, Charles (Colleen) Perenick, Paul Perenick, Judy Kennedy, John Perenick and his partner Marie Dawson, grandchildren; Kevin (Christine) Trites, Allison (Stephen) Francis, Leah (Tara) Dorval, Nicholas and Samantha Kennedy, Brittany Paquette and Jack Perenick, great grandchildren; Rose and John Trites, Donovan and Rory Francis and Colby Dorval, his beloved sister Catherine Zelazo, many nieces and nephews and dear friends; Pete, Gloria and Tom.
He was a devoted and loving husband to Patricia (Harlow) Perenick who died in 1981 and Dolores (Wood) Perenick who died in 2014. He was also predeceased by his brothers; Norman, Charles and William Perenick.
Family and friends may meet for Frank’s Funeral Mass on Friday, July 18th at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please perform random acts of kindness in Frank’s memory.
