Francis Walter Maynard, 93, of Grayson Drive died Monday at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield on October 28th, 1920 to the late Walter and Mabel (Martel) Maynard. He lived in East Longmeadow and Springfield for most of his life and was a graduate of Commerce High School. He worked as a truck driver for Texaco for 38 yrs. Francis was a WW II U.S. Army Veteran and served in the European, Middle Eastern, and African Theatres. He was a communicant of St. Cecilia�s Church in Wilbraham. He was the beloved widower of Mary P. (McGuire) Maynard who passed away in 1994, loving father of John F. Maynard and his wife Marcia of Mays Landing, NJ, William J. Maynard of Meriden, CT, and Catherine E. Princiotto and her husband Gerald of Quincy, MA, devoted grandfather of 5, and caring great grandfather of 4. He also leaves 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and was predeceased by his sister Dorothy. Calling hours are Wednesday 9-10:30 AM at the WILBRAHAM FUNERAL HOME, 2551 Boston Road, Wilbraham, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham. Burial will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Cecilia Capital Improvement and Maintenance Fund, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham, MA 01095.
