Frances (Fran) (Barton) Caron, 77, passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2015 at Mercy Hospital. Born in Palmer on September 12, 1938 to late Charles and Ruth (Moore) Barton, she was a graduate of the High School of Commerce and worked for many years as a switchboard operator for AT&T in Springfield. She fulfilled a lifelong dream when she attended the Roger Putnam School of Nursing and became a licensed nurse and worked many years at both Wesson Memorial and Mercy Hospitals. Later, she owned and operated an industrial safety equipment business and a party supply store (The Gala Event) for many years. She leaves her husband of 60 years, Henry J. �Hank� Caron, four children; Michael and his wife Trish of South Hadley, Martin and his partner Sandra of Palmer, Chris and his wife Linda of Springfield and Jody Regan and her husband William of Wilbraham. She also leaves her twin brother Francis �Buddy� Barton of Agawam, eight grandchildren; Amber Allen and her husband Zach, Alexis Caron, Katie and Patrick Regan, Nick and Makena Caron, Ani and Zoe Caron and two great grandchildren; Elias & Lawson Allan, sister in law Grace Caron of Coral Gables, FL. She was predeceased by her brother �Gene� in 2013. She will be sadly and greatly missed by her large and loving family, devoted nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th from 9 � 10:30 am at Wilbraham Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Service at 11am at Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Fran�s greatest wish would be, in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Kathrine Regan Trust, c/o William Regan, 12 Woodside Dr., Wilbraham, MA 01095.
