As a girl, Eunice got to sample the candy made by her father Paul at his store, The OK Candy Company. It was there that she developed her sweet tooth that lasted throughout her life. Eunice worked as an office administrator for Cook Chrysler Plymouth of Chicopee in the 1960’s, Carter Paper of West Springfield in the 1970’s and in sales at Robbins Beauty Supply of Springfield in the 1980’s before retiring.
Eunice enjoyed taking cruises, trips to the casino, bus trips to New York, shopping, bingo and playing cards with the ladies at her apartment. Her church was very important to her and she enjoyed all activities at St. George including working at Glendi.
She is survived by her nephews: James Athens and his wife Anna of Wilbraham and Mark Athens of Palmer. Eunice’s Funeral Service will be private and burial will take place in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 22 St. George Rd., Springfield, MA 01104.
