Eugene E. Sando

Eugene E. Sando, 87, died peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center. Born in New Albany, PA to the late Edward L. and Marie M. (Finan) Sando, he was an office manager at Suburban Propane Gas Co. until his retirement in 1993. Gene was an active volunteer for St. Michael�s Parish for many years, serving as Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Reflections Group and Cursillo. Gene is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Mary (Sherman) Sando, son David Sando of Springfield, daughters Kathleen Grudgen and her husband Martin of East Longmeadow and Julie Brown and her husband Richard of Somers, CT and seven cherished grandchildren; Thomas, Michael, James, Matthew, Amelia, Patrick and Katie. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his beloved daughter Barbara Speight in 2015. Gene�s Funeral Mass will be Monday, February 6th at 10:00 am at St. Michael�s Church. The Sando Family will receive family and friends in the Michaelmas Room of the church beginning at 9:00 am. Entombment will follow the Mass in Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
