Obituary
Eugene “Geno” Nawrocki, 81, died peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Baystate Wing Hospital. Born in Chicopee, he was son of the late John and Genevieve (Adamczyk) Nawrocki. A graduate of Chicopee Vocational High School, he has owned and operated Geno’s Auto Service in Chicopee since 1956. In 1983, Geno purchased and ran Granby Auto Salvage until 2000. He was a member of Chicopee Moose Family Center Lodge #1849, Chicopee Elks Lodge #1849 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #404. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Dianne (Mainville) Nawrocki, whom he married on July 4, 1961, their three children: Michael Nawrocki and his wife Sharon of Chicopee, Starlene Klaus and her husband Michael of Chicopee and Darren Nawrocki and his wife Susan of Enfield, CT, his sister Alice Fitzgerald of Ludlow, five grandchildren: Roy and David Nawrocki, Joseph and Tabitha Klaus and Ella Mosher and his two sisters in law: Beverly and Cynthia Nawrocki. Geno was predeceased by his three brothers: John T., Richard and Chester Nawrocki and his brother in law John Fitzgerald. Family and friends may meet for Geno's Memorial Mass on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-3000 or the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, 41 Mall Rd., Burlington, MA 01805, Attn: Philanthropy.
