Estelle Barree

Estelle (Hosmer) Barree passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. She was a longtime Florida resident before moving to Chicopee, MA in 2015.

Estelle was born to the late Fred and Mildred Hosmer on March 14, 1934 in Springfield, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Emile Barree in 2018, her sister June Parker, as well as her brothers Fred Hosmer and Billy Hosmer.

Estelle is survived by her five devoted children: Denise Forgue of Southwick, MA; Roger Dutilly, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Somerset, KY; Robert Dutilly and his wife Michele of Chicopee, MA; Debra Rollend and her husband Peter of Wilbraham, MA; and Michelle Dutilly of Southwick, MA. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; Jason Forgue, Kristina Forgue LaFortune, Derek Dutilly, Denine Richard, Alicia Banuelos, Rachel McDonald, Blake Dutilly, Vanessa Golec, Amanda Rollend, Timothy Hart, and Tristan Demond. She also leaves 16 adored great grandchildren.

Estelle lived in Springfield and Southwick prior to moving to Clearwater, Florida. She was employed at Smith and Wesson in Springfield for many years. Once she moved to Florida, Estelle and her husband Emile established and ran a successful cleaning business until retirement.

Estelle was known as a very kind, caring, and generous woman to all. She was a wonderful, loving mother and will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Estelle always enjoyed spending time with her family. She was very creative and enjoyed drawing, painting, and writing poems. She loved nature, especially watching the birds in her yard flying around her numerous bird feeders and bird baths. She also loved flowers and gardening.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Estelle’s Funeral Home Service will take place at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield.
