Elizabeth A. Chmura

Elizabeth Ann (Roncalli) Chmura, 58, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Born in Springfield, MA to the late John Robert and Mona (Carroll) Roncalli, Liz dedicated nearly 30 years of her life as a compassionate Registered Nurse in the NICU at Baystate Medical Center before her retirement.
Liz had a love for calligraphy, PEOPLE magazine, Law & Order SVU, sign language, dark chocolate, and cherished her time by the ocean. Above all, she found her greatest joy in being a mother and deeply loved her children. She will be profoundly missed by her three devoted children; Daniel Chmura of Virginia Beach, VA, Matthew Chmura of Quincy, MA, and Samantha Kularski of Springfield, MA. She also leaves behind her caring sisters; Joan Cummings of Putnam, CT, and Mona Vancini of Springfield, MA along with her beloved basset hound, Ruby, and countless other family members and friends.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The Wilbraham Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Legacy Lifecare VNA & Hospice for their compassionate care.
