Eleanor L. (Williams) Goodrich

Eleanor Louise (Williams) Goodrich, 89, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Wingate at Hampden. Born in Islesboro, ME, she was the daughter of the late Erastus and Florence (Beckett) Williams. She has lived in East Longmeadow since 1935. A graduate of Commerce High School, she worked as a secretary for MacDonald & Johnson Insurance Co. in East Longmeadow. Eleanor loved animals and she had been active in the East Longmeadow Fire Dept. Women�s Auxillary. She is survived by her two sons Robert E. Goodrich and his wife Kathleen of Arizona and Michael M. Goodrich (Michelle) of East Longmeadow, brother Marcellus Williams of Belfast, ME, three grandchildren; Elizabeth Zelazo and her husband Timothy, Robert and his wife Raquel and Sean and 1 great granddaughter Kylie, her former husband, retired East Longmeadow Fire Chief Forrest R. Goodrich, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Florence Heath. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 10:00 am at East Longmeadow United Methodist Church, 215 Somers Rd., East Longmeadow. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
