Edward David Croken, 67, died peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2014. He was born in Springfield to the late Daniel and Bridie (Carney) Croken. He owned and operated Glenwood Caf� in Springfield for 30 years. He also worked for New England Telephone as a central office technician for 26 years. Ed was active in horse racing and was a member of New York Racing Assn. and owned Glenwood Star Stables in NY where he bred thoroughbred horses. He was a member of the Air National Guard for eight years. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Wyckoff Country Club. He leaves two brothers; Daniel P. Croken and his wife Trish of Wilbraham and William F. Croken of East Longmeadow, five nieces and nephews; Daniel J. Croken and his wife Heather, Deborah Allen and her husband William, David Croken, Rebecca Corcoran and Molly Mickiewicz and her husband David, and five grandnieces and grandnephews; Sean, Michelle, Hannah, Hayden and Liam. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th from 4:00 � 7:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Ed�s Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Michael�s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
