Edward Hugh Crawford, 79, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Boston to the late Henry and Ethel (Huestis) Crawford, he was a proud Navy Veteran of the Korean War. A graduate of Bentley College and Suffolk University, he earned his MBA from Boston College. He worked as a Hospital Administrator for several hospitals in Western Mass and Connecticut. In his retirement, Ed worked as a school bus driver in Wilbraham. A longtime communicant of St. Cecilia Church, he was a Fourth Degree Member and two time Grand Knight of the St. Cecilia�s Council of Knights of Columbus. An avid fisherman and Red Sox fan, Ed always began his day reading the Boston Globe. He was predeceased by his brother Harry Crawford. Ed was beloved husband of 56 years to Louise (McCall) Crawford, loving father to David E. Crawford of Wilbraham, Robert F. Crawford and his wife Maria of Agawam, Kathleen M. Dupuis and her husband Scott of Wilbraham, Anne L. Powers and her husband Russell of Auburn and Elizabeth A. Crawford of Northampton, caring grandfather to Andy, Ben, Kelly, Tim, Daniel, Jessie, Amy and Megan, and devoted uncle to several nieces and nephews. Ed�s Funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from Wilbraham Funeral Home to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 � 7:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Private Burial will be at a later date at the Massachusetts Veterans� Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, 468 Poquonock Ave., Windsor, CT 06095 .
