Dorothy Virginia (McGrath) Roche, 93, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in Miami, Florida. Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Martin J. McGrath and Josephine (Kondraka) McGrath. Dorothy was a licensed registered nurse for over 45 years, serving patients in public and private health care. She was a devout Roman Catholic, and member of many charitable organizations in Massachusetts, Virginia, and Florida. Dorothy was an enthusiastic Boston Red Sox fan, and one of her greatest joys was watching them win the World Series after 86 years. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband U.S. Army Air Corp, World War II veteran, Paul Edward Roche in 1985. She is survived by her sister Joan Elehwany of Easton, Maryland; a son Tobias Roche of Miami, Florida; a daughter Sara Feldman of Redondo Beach, California; six (6) grand-children; and one (1) great-granddaughter. Visitation will take place at the Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Road, Wilbraham, Massachusetts 01095; from 4-6 PM on Monday, December 14, 2015. Dorothy�s Funeral will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 9:00 am from Wilbraham Funeral Home to Mass at 10:00 am at St. Cecilia�s Church, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham, Massachusetts 01095. Burial will immediately follow at the Woodland Dell Cemetery in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 9200 S.W. 107th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33176 at 7 PM; with a family-friends reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org .
