Donna T. (Daly) Willson, 81, formerly of Westfield and Wilbraham, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Pittsfield, MA to the late Thomas and Mary (Menin) Daly, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of New Rochelle. Donna worked as the Director of Human Resources at Mount Holyoke College, then later at Trinity College, until her retirement. When not working, she refreshed her spirit with long summer vacations on Nantucket Island. A long-time member of Longmeadow Country Club, the Field Club of Longmeadow and the former Colony Club, she also belonged to the Bridge Club. Donna was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, friends, her beloved UConn women’s and men’s basketball teams, and of course the Red Sox, compete. She loved fine dining, cooking and entertaining for her many friends and family members. She was a voracious reader and a lifelong learner. Her love of history led her to become an avid traveler in her retirement years. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Scott H. Willson, her brother Christopher Daly and her step son Timothy Willson. Donna is survived by her children; Kara Eagan (William) of Longmeadow and Michael McCartney (Elizabeth) of East Sandwich, MA, step children; Meredith Balise (Thomas), Jacqueline Kenney (Timothy), Jennifer Willson (Brian Grayboff) and daughter in law Jamie Willson, sister in law Susan Daly, beloved grandchildren; Liam and Aidan Eagan, Ian (Amanda), Kylie, Amelia and Tristan McCartney, Dr. Mia Sethna (Faraz), Timothy and Ryan Balise, Dr. Stephen Balise, Courtney Flyer (Jonathan), Scott and Max Willson, Andrew, Hannah and William Kenney, Taylor Kelley (Richard) and Daniel Bartini (Sara), as well as 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
