Obituary
Donna Jean (Corey) Meschke died peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2020. Born in Springfield to the late Charles and Jeannette (Daly) Corey, she was happily married to Harold Meschke for 50 years. She taught school in Springfield, MA, Charleston, SC and Baton Rouge, LA. She loved to paint portraits and had an exhibition in a Baton Rouge Library. She also loved to write and was an aspiring writer of children’s books. She is survived by her beloved husband Harold, her sister Susan Mock, brother in law Carl Meschke and his wife Helen, sister in law Veronica Meschke, niece Maureen Dixon and her husband Brian, grand nieces Colleen and Kelly Dixon, as well as several cousins. She will be missed by all. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday October 13th at 11:00 AM in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Chicopee and a Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday October 15th at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, Hubbard St., Ludlow. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 98018, Washington, DC 20090-8018.
