Donald T. Heenan

Donald Thomas Heenan, 87, died on Friday, July 17, 2015, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Greenfield, he was the son of the late Robert and Beryl (Burgess) Heenan. He worked as a building contractor for 50 years and was owner of Heenan Inc. of East Longmeadow. He was one of the founders of St. Mark�s Episcopal Church, Past Master of the Charles C. Spellman Masonic Lodge, a member of the Scottish Rite and an avid hunter and fisherman. Don was a longtime resident of East Longmeadow and very active in the town having served on the Planning Board for ten years, Board of Appeals, and as the town fence viewer. Don was predeceased by his wife Barbara (Buck) Heenan in 2009. He will be sadly missed by his four children; Martha E. Wickliffe and her husband William of CA, Donald C. Heenan of MA, William M. Heenan and his partner Sally Sarnelli of MA, Jane Pemberton and her husband Ralph of CT. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21st from 4:00 � 7:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Don�s Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Mark�s Episcopal Church, 1 Porter Rd., East Longmeadow. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobala Road, Holyoke, MA 01040.
